Current Opportunity Highlights

These are just a few of the opportunities we have waiting for you!

  • Family Support Services

    Mon & Thu, 9am-12pm, coffee and games, conversations with clients

  • Prison and Reentry Apostolate (PARA)

    -Correspondence volunteers to write to Catholic men and women in the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services facilities
    -Volunteers to make person-to-person visits twice each month at the Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP - Lincoln), the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI - Tecumseh), or at the Nebraska Correctional Center for Women (NCCW - York)
    -Prayer and catechetical mentors and teachers who can volunteer to visit those interested in becoming Catholic at NSP or TSCI

  • St. Gianna Program (women volunteers only)

    -Apartment and general cleaners
    -Childcare: coverage during House Meetings, once per month on the third Tuesday
    -Childcare: Tuesday and Thursday evenings, ≈6:30-8:30 pm

  • Sustainability Department

    Warehouse:
    -Mon, Tue, and/or Wed, sorting donations (flexible timing)
    -Wed, 10am-12pm, high-end clothing sorting

    Thrift Store:
    -Wed, 1-5pm (flexible timing), store clerk checkout
    Inspecting and ticketing cards, gift wrap, and gift bags
    Sizing and preparing suits and suit coats
    Inspecting and ticketing clothing
    Sorting, pricing, and organizing craft supplies
    Receiving, daily help needed; lifting, sorting, organizing donations

  • Company Intranet accessible by employees only
  • Company Website accessible via the World Wide Web to anyone
  • Printed employee newsletter
  • Printed client/donor communications (i.e. Catholic Register Newspaper)
  • Company Print/Digital Marketing Materials
  • Printed annual report
  • Company social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, etc.)

I understand that no special compensation will be provided to me for the use of my image and that I may not be informed in advance of the specific use of my image. I further understand that I may opt-out of this practice upon providing written authorization to CSS.
