Donation Dropoff: Guidelines & Screening Form

Thank you for your interest in donating items to Catholic Social Services of Southern Nebraska!

To better serve and uphold the dignity of our clients, we have established guidelines for our donation program and we ask that all potential donors of furniture or larger items fill out this screening form. Household items may be brought to our Auburn St. Francis Gift & Thrift store (click here for more information). We appreciate your understanding and support!

Dropoff guidelines and details:

  • All items must be free of stains, tears, holes, odors, gouges, pet hair, broken parts, and heavy use.  We can deal with minor scratches on solid wood items and missing hardware.

Items we accept for dropoff include:

  • Backpacks, Purses, & Tote Bags (free of stains, tears, & heavy use)
  • Bedding, Linens, Rugs, & Towels (free of stains, tears, & heavy use)
  • Books, CDs, & DVDs
  • Electronic Items
  • Furniture (free of holes, gouges, tears, stains, pet hair, odors, & broken parts)
  • Home & Seasonal Décor
  • Jewelry & Sunglasses
  • Kitchen Bakeware, Cookware, Dishware, Glasses, & Utensils
  • Religious Items
  • Small Appliances

To request a dropoff of your items, please provide the following information (including photos for furniture).

Please note: CSS staff members have the final discretion to accept or decline donations once physically seen.

Item Photos

Multiple items in one photo are fine. Multiple files can be included on the Photo 1 field, up to 30 files max. To do this, Ctrl-click multiple files and drag them ALL onto the field at one time. Dragging and dropping some and then trying to add more will replace what's there instead of add to it. If you prefer to add your photos one by one you may do so (up to 5) using the Photo 1 through Photo 5 fields below.

PLEASE NOTE: Each of your submitted files MUST have a unique name ("File1", "File2", etc.) or our transfer system will only take the last one uploaded.
