CSS Memorial Golf Classic & Cookout

Tee up for "Hope in the Good Life"! Golf registration and sponsorships are now available for our 2026 CSS Memorial Golf Classic, to be held on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 14TH at Hillcrest Country Club in Lincoln.

Our 2026 Tourney will be held in memory of Tom and Margaret Tracy.

Tom and Margaret Ann Tracy, beloved husband and wife, devoted parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents, both passed away in November 2023 at the age of 91. Tom passed on November 12th, 2023, and Margaret followed on November 24th, 2023, both surrounded by their loving family. Married for 72 years, Tom and Margaret built a life centered on faith, family, hard work, and devotion to one another.

Tom co-founded Masonry Construction Co. and later established Tracy's Body Shop in 1969, building a family business that remains a cherished part of the Tracy Family legacy. Margaret, born on a farm near Valparaiso, developed lifelong skills and passions, including gardening, canning, cooking, and baking- and it was there she met the love of her life, Tom. Together, they built not only successful businesses but also a loving home. Although Margaret worked alongside Tom in the family businesses, her greatest pride was being Tom's wife and loving mother and grandmother who always cared for and nurtured those around her.

Together they are survived by their four children and their spouses, 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Their legacy of love, faith, hard work, and devotion to family will live on through the many lives they touched.

Even if you are not an event participant, you may support the programs of Catholic Social Services of Southern Nebraska by making a financial gift in memory of our friends Tom and Margaret. About Hillcrest Country Club

Hillcrest Country Club takes pride in its course's rich heritage. In 1929, U.S. Open champion Walter Hagen and French Open Champion Horton Smith were among the first to compete on the course designed by William A. Tucker Sr. Since then, many tournaments and events have been held at Hillcrest, including a contest between the legendary Arnold Palmer and Gary Player.

Large, established trees and out-of-town feel, set Hillcrest apart from today's newer courses. The 18-hole course boasts a nearly 600-yard par 5, a challenging pair of short par 3 holes, and practice facilities that include a 500-yard driving range, and beautifully-manicured putting and chipping greens. These amenities make Hillcrest a true golfer's course.
