3rd annual Walk to End Hunger

Presented by BetterLife and Knights of Columbus, Lincoln

Help fill the shelves of the CSS Food Market in Lincoln!

The goal for the 2023 Walk to End Hunger is 25,000 pounds of food or dollars combined. By working together, we'll reach our goal, nourish our neighbors, and bring HOPE IN THE GOOD LIFE!

Participation is easy! Walk laps during the event to collect funds, donate food through a parish food drive or donate cash for CSS to purchase food. Each option supports Catholic Social Services of Southern Nebraska and the community of Lincoln.

  • Many Lincoln parishes are hosting a food drive for the CSS Food Market during the summer, a season when supplies traditionally run dangerously low.
  • Your generous response will help fill the food market shelves for shoppers and nourish our neighbors all summer!
  • To help you make the biggest impact, CSS will provide a list of the food market's most needed items. The list will be stapled onto collection bags and handed out at each parish the weekend before the drive starts. To donate, fill the bag with needed items and bring it back to the parish on the collection weekend.
  • To make it fun, there's a friendly competition between the parishes to collect the most food. To give each parish equal footing, the total amount of food and cash collected by each drive will be divided by the total number of families in that parish.
