6th annual Walk to End Hunger

WAYS TO PARTICIPATE

PARISH FOOD DRIVES

• Many Lincoln parishes are hosting a food drive for the CSS Food Market throughout the year. Your generous response will help fill the food market shelves for shoppers and nourish our neighbors.
• To help you make the biggest impact, a list of the food market's most needed items will be provided at the parish and at this link. To donate, fill the bag with needed items and bring it back to the parish on the assigned collection weekend, or bring it to CSS during our open office hours (found at this link).
• Any food you donate throughout the year will count towards your parish goal! Just bring it to CSS and let us know your parish name when you drop off the items.
• To make it fun, there's a friendly competition between the parishes to collect the most food. To give each parish equal footing, the total amount of food and cash collected by each drive will be divided by the total number of families in that parish.

St. John's and St. Patrick's are encouraged to bring their food to the event on August 8th!

WALK LAPS AT OUR EVENT

Join us: August 8th | 10P to 12 P | Pius X High School Football Stadium

• Each lap walked will earn much-needed funds for the CSS Food Market in Lincoln. With a goal of 1,000 laps walked, we will need everyone to come walk and support the food market!
• Each lap walked at the event will earn money from individual and corporate sponsors.

• Before we start our walk, we have several wonderful speakers.

  Then, the Lincoln Pius X High School band will lead us on the first lap!

ACTIVITIES!!!! Before and after walking, the whole family will enjoy:

• -Face painting and fun with Happy D Klown
• -A DJ to keep the tunes going!
• -Raffles!
• -Fire Truck!

FOOD! Come hungry, because all concessions are free and include:

• Chick-fil-A breakfast sammies at 10 am
• Valentino's pizza after 11 am
• Snow cones & popcorn
• Oh, and plenty of cold beverages & Kolaches, too!!!!

It's going to be a great morning- can't wait to see you there!

VOLUNTEER

Volunteer before, during, or after the event on August 8th. Over 50 volunteers will be needed the day of the event. Help hand out water, receive food donations, or count laps. The link below will take you to our signupgenius form.
