CSS Food Market & Meal Services

Our Food Market in Lincoln utilizes a Choice Pantry model of food distribution.

Lincoln

Food Market

The CSS Food Market in Lincoln provides families and individuals the opportunity to select and shop for food items once per month. Our Food Market is set up in a client choice way which allows volunteers to accompany them as they walk through and select the items that meet their needs. On top of non-perishable foods. we also provide meat, dairy products, and fresh fruit and vegetables as they become available. Nutritional information and recipes are shared in our food market.

Appointments for same-day food market requests are taken on a first-come, first-served basis until all requests are filled.

Calls are taken Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am until 9 am. To make a request, please call 402.327.6200.

Shopping hours for the CSS Food Market are Monday through Thursday from 1 pm to 3 pm.

Lincoln Breakfast and Lunch Program

The Lincoln Breakfast and Lunch Program began several years ago as an outreach opportunity launched by a group of volunteers. Throughout the week, we provide meals to those who need them, no questions asked. Volunteers serve beverages and sack lunches to the homeless and working poor. Our sandwiches are prepared bi-weekly by the Knights of Columbus and the rest of the food in the lunch sacks are donation-based.

Donations to the program can be dropped off at our O St. office during our normal business hours (see this link for our location and hours). We gladly accept protein and granola bars, fruit cups, and other smaller items that are individually packed. If you are interested in volunteering for this program, please follow this link to learn more.
