What We Do

Little Blessings Child Care Center of Catholic Social Services

Jesus said, “Let the children come to me; do not prevent them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child  will not enter it.” Then he embraced them and blessed them, placing his hands on them (Mark 10:14-16).

Our MISSION STATEMENT

At Little Blessings Child Care of Catholic Social Services, we believe that a child’s parents are their first and most important teachers. Therefore, we are committed to partnering with parents as we care for and teach their children. We know that play and active, hands-on exploration are avenues for children’s learning and growth, and we commit to providing multiple developmentally appropriate experiences each day that foster this growth and extend each child’s natural interests and curiosity. As a Catholic faith-based center, children will have daily opportunities to pray, visit Jesus in the chapel, learn about the Catholic faith, and develop and practice Christian values. We are committed to providing a loving, supportive, and safe learning environment where children can develop to their fullest potential physically, cognitively, and spiritually.

Our PHILOSOPHY

Little Blessings Child Care of Catholic Social Services seeks to provide:

  • High-quality care for children ages 6 weeks to 3.5 years
  • A healthy Christian environment 
  • A pleasant and safe space to play, learn, and grow
  • Opportunities to experience various cultures
  • Partnership and collaboration with parents in their child’s development

We are a child care center licensed by DHHS and the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department and accept the Title XX child care subsidy.

NEW! Part-time enrollment now available at Little Blessings Child Care

Beginning August 10th, 2026, we will allow part-time enrollment at Little Blessings Child Care of Catholic Social Services! This change will allow us to better serve more families and provide them with Catholic education and care.  Here's more on this exciting change from Child Care Manager Mattie Quick:

 

Children enrolled with the intention of attending 2 days per week (8 days per month or fewer) will be charged half of the standard monthly tuition. Part-time enrollment requires the same $25 registration fee as full-time enrollment. Part-time enrollment does not guarantee a permanent space at Little Blessings. If another family requests full-time care and no full-time openings are available, families currently enrolled part-time will be given the opportunity to convert to full-time enrollment before their child's space is offered to another family. Part-time tuition is due no later than the fifth day of each month. Families who wish to enroll their child part-time but want to guarantee a permanent space at Little Blessings may do so by paying the full monthly tuition, regardless of the number of days the child attends. If a child enrolled part-time begins attending more than 2 days per week (more than 8 days per month) on an ongoing basis, the family must provide at least two weeks' notice before the monthly invoice is issued to change to full-time enrollment. Beginning with the next billing cycle, the family will be charged the full monthly tuition. Part-time tuition is a flat monthly rate equal to one-half of the full tuition ($575 or $525, as applicable) and is not prorated, regardless of when the child begins attending during the month. Children attending partial days will still be billed according to the number of days attended regardless of the number of hours attended on any given day.  We are honored that you have trusted us with the care of your child!
